Track 9: Meeting Hamilton in court. Friendly sparring. They are the two titans of the NY bar. Mutual respect masked as competition.

Well, look who it is, the pride of the West Indies.
Walking into court like a tropical breeze.
I saw you on the Rutt-gers case, my friend.
Waving your arms, will the drama ever end?
You shout about "Democracy," you scream about "The Rights."
You turn simple legal cases into revolutionary fights.
I just state the facts, I keep my powder dry.
I collect my fees, and I watch the world go by.

Hamilton and Burr.
The tortoise and the hare.
Running different races, but we're going… well, nowhere.
We’re friends at the bar, we're rivals in the sport.
But I wonder how long we can hold down the fort?
Hamilton and Burr.

Hold up, Burr, let me break it down for you!
Facts are boring, man, you gotta push it through!
You gotta set the jury and the courtroom on fire!
I’m shaping the nation, taking us higher!

You’re steady, you’re calm, you’re polite and you’re neat.
But you’re just a statue standing on the street!
Rules are for idiots! Rules are for fools!
I'm rewriting the game while you're cleaning your tools!

You say you're "patient," waiting for your turn?
Man, I'm lighting matches just to watch the city burn!

Hamilton and Burr.
The tortoise and the hare.
You're running out of breath, gasping for the air.
We’re friends at the bar, we're rivals in the sport.
I'm just trying to keep us out of… divorce.
Hamilton and Burr.

I respect your intellect, you’re incredibly bright.
But you play with the fire in the middle of the night.
Be careful, Alexander.
The fire burns hot.
And you might lose the very little breath that you've got.

I'll see you in court.
Always early.
