North. North. North.
Six hundred miles.
Ice. Snow.
Let’s go.

We march through the wilderness, Maine is a beast
The rivers are frozen, we starve for a feast
We’re eating the leather from off of our shoes
And General Arnold has nothing to lose!
I’m nineteen years old, and I’m small for the fight
But I keep myself warm with the fire of the night
They thought I was soft, the Princetonian boy?
I’m made of iron, I’m not a toy!

Quebec! The fortress on high!
We climb the walls under the winter sky!
Quebec! A suicide mission!
Blind ambition and attrition!
If we take the city, the continent turns
But if we fail, the whole army burns!

New Year’s Eve. A blizzard so white
You can’t see your hand in the middle of the fight.
Montgomery falls! The General is down!
Blood on the snow of the lower town.
Everyone’s running, retreating in fear
But I see the body. The General is here!
I pick him up! He’s a giant of a man!
I carry the weight as fast as I can!

Knee-deep in snow.
Bullets flying low.
I won’t leave him behind.
I won’t leave him behind.
They call for retreat?
I don’t know the word!
I’m carrying honor!
Have you not heard?

Quebec! The fortress on high!
We climb the walls under the winter sky!
Quebec! We failed at the gate!
But I looked in the eyes of a terrible fate!
And I didn't blink.
No, I didn't blink.

We lost.
But I survived.
Washington is waiting in New York.
I’m coming, General.
